Woodturning – Wood Ornaments

in this one day woodturning workshop You will make wooden ornaments on a lathe, create differnt shapes, orbs, teardrops or trees to hangs as ornaments for any season.

During this workshop you will learn ‘Spindle work’ where you will mostly use Spindle gouges.

You will create 3 different shapes, each shape has simpler and more difficult variations for you to choose. After creating your wooden ornaments you will decorate them using plain and metallic markers.

Suitable for beginners.

All necessary materials, including the use of tools, will be provided.

Monika is a passionate woodworker and maker. Monika has designed this course as a fun way to learn spindle making.

Refreshments

Coffee, tea and biscuits are included in the course fee, but you will need to bring lunch with you or visit a nearby venue to purchase food.

Access

If you have any specific access or special needs, please contact us confidentially in advance by email info@thegoodlifecentre.co.uk. There is a small step to the entrance, and the toilet is on the ground floor.

All sewing workshops and occasionally lampshade making, tassel making and bookbinding workshops are located on the second floor. There is no lift access.
