Stop Animation Films (2021 – present)
The films on this page are created by Alison Winfield-Chislett, the founder of the Goodlife Centre and Jonathan Badness, a widely talented tutor at the centre as well as being a film maker and musician.
The bears were created by Alison to inspire amusing social media posts. They are about 100mm (4 inches high) and hand stitched in felt. Inside the stuffing is a wire armature skeleton and tiny magnets in their hands and feet which is useful if they need to carry metal objects. Not so useful for snowballs.
Jon suggested the bears as perfect cast members for some 70s style ‘Stop animation’ films. He is a massive fan of Bagpuss creator Oliver Postgate and knows the genre very well. Alison moves the bears and Jon films, edits and adds his own musical score from the many instruments he plays.
