Suitable for: Absolute beginners. No prior experience in woodworking is required for this course.
About: Using handsaws, drills and sanding block
In practice, measure, mark, saw and screw it all together.
A course for those looking for the perfect balance of DIY and carpentry.
This project eliminates the need for sharp chisels and planes or a range of power tools. Instead it is designed to use a DIY approach, with few tools, careful sawing, sanding to correct small errors and the use of butt joints and screws and dowels to assemble the unit.
This one day course is practical with useful skills to tackle those little home projects.
Finish the day with a shelf unit to keep.
All necessary materials, including the use of tools, will be provided.
You will take home your own shelf & brackets.

Refreshments
Coffee, tea and biscuits are included in the course fee, but you will need to bring lunch with you or visit a nearby venue to purchase food.
Access
If you have any specific access or special needs, please contact us confidentially in advance by email info@thegoodlifecentre.co.uk. There is a small step to the entrance, and the toilet is on the ground floor.
All sewing workshops and occasionally lampshade making, tassel making and bookbinding workshops are located on the second floor. There is no lift access.
