If you want to begin gardening, you may not know where to start, these sessions with professional gardener Jane Rogers will instil confidence and drip feed you with enough knowledge to watch your green fingers grow.
Gardening in Small Spaces – Container Gardening
Your space may be a balcony, a tiny front yard, a windy terrace or a dim space in front of a basement window. Do you want to start growing plants but don’t know how? Are you mystified why plants hate you? If you want to begin gardening, you may not know where to start, this workshop with professional gardener Jane Rogers, will instil confidence and drip feed you with enough knowledge to watch your green fingers grow.
This half day workshop is designed to demystify the reasons that your plants don’t thrive and how to choose the best plants for your type of space.
As Jane explains the selection process for your type of terrain, you will construct a flowerpot with individually mixed soil and a seasonal selection of plants to take home.
Dig into the wonderful world of gardening – we offer advice and tips for busy people who don’t have a lot of time to care for their new green friends.
The use of all tools and materials is included.
Each workshop includes planting up a pot of seasonal plants/vegetables and is for you to take home and tend with loving care.
Jane Rogers
Jane Rogers is a busy professional gardener and has led many workshops including long and short courses at Kew Gardens, London. She is @Janerogersplot on instagram.

You will receive a courtesy reminder by email 1-2 days before the workshop/course begins.
Refreshments
Coffee, tea and biscuits are included in the course fee, but you will need to bring lunch with you or visit a nearby venue to purchase food.
Access
If you have any specific access or special needs, please contact us confidentially in advance by email info@thegoodlifecentre.co.uk. There is a small step to the entrance, and the toilet is on the ground floor.
All sewing workshops and occasionally lampshade making, tassel making and bookbinding workshops are located on the second floor. There is no lift access.
