A new short course for a beginner to jump start your knowledge of upholstery skills and tools.
If you would like to get stuck in to a project a bit more traditional than the drop in dining chair seat that we tackle on our ‘Intro to Upholstery‘ workshop , this chance to make a footstool you will own forever is the very thing for you.
Over two full days, experienced upholsterer Jan Dodd will fast track you through the wonderful world of upholstery and help you build a fabulous footstool using traditional methods. We supply everything, including the frame and lovely beech legs and there will be a selection of top fabrics available if you dont have one in mind. Dont worry about lugging a heavy piece of furniture around town, you can leave your work at The Goodlife Centre between classes if you choose.
Plenty of guidance in a small group with a great tutor.
Course includes all materials and use of tools. We have tools and materials for sale at the centre so you can tackle furniture at home too.
This course is run over two Saturdays – 29th September & 6th October from 10:00am – 5:00pm.Register for this event
