Spend half a day with us learning how to ’hitch’ your way to a fabulous wall hanging to take home.
Macramé uses knotting rather than weaving or knitting to make an infinite variety of patterns in cord.
Its primary knots are the square knot (a variant of the reef knot) and various forms of “hitching”:
Talented crafter Isabella Strambio will show you how to get to grips with all the basic knots and hitches that form the techniques of the craft. Working in small groups, you will have plenty of time to learn the principles to create a macramé wall hanging. The same knots and techniques can be used to make plant holders and more at home.
We supply white cord and a variety of materials for you to complete your creation.
Suitable for beginners. All personal protection and use of tools and materials are included.
