In a one-day Curtain Making workshop,a professional curtain maker will teach you how to produce beautiful flowing curtains for any room.
Even if you are an absolute beginner and a bit frightened of a sewing machine, Grace will guide you through measuring marking and cutting out fabric to assemble an unlined curtain with a smart pencil pleat header. If you feel more confident, it will be possible to incorporate a special lining fabric and we will even delve into the dark cosy world of interlinings. Using easy to learn hand stitching, everyone will take home a sample curtain made from one metre of fabric.
For a more contemporary look, try our Make and Fit Roman Blinds one-day workshop. From measuring the window to fixing it to the wall, experienced tutor, Jan Dodds will unfold the tools and techniques for making bespoke and accurately fitting blinds for any room in your house.
You will learn how to purchase and cut wood battens, where to buy the cords and trims and how to select a suitable fabric to bring perfection and privacy to your decor.
The Goodlife Centre has a selection of suitable fabrics for you to use, you will make a sample blind to take home with you.
